Cloud Systems Engineer

The Cloud Systems Engineer will be an integral part of the Cloud Operations team at LightEdge Solutions. This position will report to the Cloud Operations Manager and will assist with the lifecycle, maintenance, and operations of the cloud systems and cloud component architecture.  LightEdge is an enterprise-grade cloud services, colocation and consulting company focused on the needs of businesses and their critical IT requirements.  If you want to take your technology skills to the next level by joining an industry leader, this is an excellent opportunity for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and maintain lifecycle processes to mitigate risk and ensure platforms remain current
  • Maintain and support capacity management processes, metrics, and reporting to ensure adequate resource availability for continued expansion of the Cloud Services platforms
  • Deliver LightEdge services to clients in accordance with the Service Level Agreements
  • Will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Compute & Backup and Storage solutions
  • Participate in the after-hours (24×7) escalation on-call rotation
  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution via telephone, email, and other electronic communication methods
  • Escalate service requests and incidents as required
  • Document and communicate service disruptions to the client and LightEdge management
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related industry experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Industry
  • Strong Experience with Active Directory Support & Administration
  • Strong Experience with Microsoft Exchange Support & Administration
  • Strong Experience with VMWare Support & Administration
  • Strong Experience with Veeam or a Comparable Backup Solution
  • Strong SAN/Storage Administration
  • Powershell Task Automation/Scripting Experience
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn adapt to changes in technology
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changes in technology
