LightEdge “Walks the Walk”
Here at LightEdge, we are reinforcing our industry-leading security and compliance once again with a fresh round of certifications for 2022. Not only have we renewed all of our compliance certifications (including HIPAA, ISO 20000-1, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3); we’ve also expanded coverage to our recently acquired data centers and added ISO 22301 to our repertoire.
The certification process is a major undertaking for us every year, knowing how critical it is for our clients to house their data in compliant environments. (Check out last year’s compliance update here.) This year, we’d like to take a few moments to discuss our newest certification: ISO 22301.
What is ISO 22301?
The ISO 22301 certification is a globally recognized standard for the establishment and certification of a business continuity management system (BCMS). Administered by the International Organization for Standardization, an independent third-party assessment body, the certification validates an organization’s ability to prevent and respond to a wide range of potential threats and disruptions.
Earning the certification is a rigorous process that evaluates how organizations handle disruptions from both a network and customer service perspective. This includes testing internal systems to ensure they will respond and recover quickly if disaster strikes.
In short, LightEdge not only talks the talk, but we walk the walk. It’s one thing to say your systems are resilient in these situations, but it’s another endeavor entirely to have a certified framework in place. When it comes to compliance, we believe actions speak louder than words.
With the certification, we show our customers they can rely on us to restore their mission-critical operations amid any threats and disruptions.
Why is it important for you?
With the ISO 22301 certification, our customers can rest easy knowing that we have not only demonstrated our ability to respond to outside threats, but that we have measures in place to reduce the likelihood of system disruptions occurring in the first place.
This certification also places heavy emphasis on customer support. ISO 22301 confirms our pledge to have staff available 24/7/365 in the event of an emergency. All staff will serve a specific role in the recovery plan to guarantee business continuity. In addition, we have communication protocols in place to notify customers when there is a disruption of any kind.

At LightEdge, we practice what we preach! We leverage the ISO 22301 internally to be able to support our employees and ensure they can perform their critical work. The pandemic changed the global work environment, with employees working in-person, hybrid, or even fully remote. ISO 22301 ensures that our employees can continue working without disruption.
Not every cloud and colocation provider can achieve this certification level, so we are proud to add the ISO 22301 to our comprehensive and widely recognized certification standards. Every year, we continue to solidify our standing as the leader in compliant cloud and colocation for over 20 years.
