Position Summary

LightEdge Solutions is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join our Network team! As a part of the LightEdge Solutions team, you will be accountable for understanding client business and technical requirements, technical design based on best practices, solution implementation, documentation and communication with your team and client.

As a Solutions Architect, you will provide consultation to customers on integrating industry leading technologies into their infrastructure to solve business problems. The Solutions Architect is accountable for developing knowledge of LightEdge Solutions products, procedures and technologies. A successful candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic in dealing with customers and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.  Some travel may be required to clients in our Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska markets.

  • As a Solutions Architect – Network with LightEdge Solutions, you will have end to end ownership of developing and scaling new and existing networks
  • Perform detailed network research and viability testing to support architecture deployments.
    • Provide written deliverables and plan proposals to our customers to explain outcomes and recommendations
  • Present and debate technical solutions
  • Take the lead on creating and executing implementation plans and proposals
  • Perform deep-dive peer review, and high-level troubleshooting when necessary, to ensure quality and completeness of plans
  • Generate new and update existing documentation in a clear and articulate manner
  • Occasionally assist as technical resource on inter-departmental changes
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior engineers
  • Manage time and meet deadlines that are crucial to the organization’s success
  • Ability to work independently, managing timelines on a variety of projects and implementations

Skills and Experience

  • Associates degree in Information Technology field or 5-7 years’ work experience in technology field
  • 5+ years’ experience architecting and engineering a complex, enterprise network.
  • Business consultation sense and ability to tell your customer what they need and why, not just answer their questions
  • Strong customer service skills (ability to treat others with respect and empathy)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Creative thinker with ability to solve customer problems leveraging technology
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Scripting and automation skills strongly preferred
