Data Analyst – Marketing & Sales Operations

Position Summary

As the Data Analyst at LightEdge, you will drive lead generation campaign execution and tracking across a range of multi-touch tactics supporting the Marketing & Sales organizations. This role is part of the Marketing team, but will work extensively with the Sales organization, Business Operations, and leadership to test and measure fully integrated Marketing and Sales programs targeted at strategic accounts to expand MRR.

We are looking for an individual with a blend of creative marketing knowledge and analytical thinking. It’s important to have experience with Salesforce and an interest in building out workflows and content in marketing automation tools, like Pardot. This individual will also play a big role in strategizing around LightEdge’s digital marketing initiatives, including SEM, social media advertising, and website lead captures.

We are looking for an innovator who is ready to jump in with our team to brainstorm cutting-edge digital tactics, test out campaign performance and pivot real-time, report back to the team with recommended next steps to raise the bar on our client and prospect touchpoints, and drive home qualified leads for the Sales team.


  • Develop, optimize, and execute a demand generation strategy that builds awareness, drives pipeline, and creates sustainable revenue to scale
    • Continuously testing out the best tactics to reach target new label accounts and strategically grow existing accounts in a meaningful way
  • Lead both inbound and outbound demand generation activities by:
    • Managing the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms and audience segments
    • Leading the technical aspects of key Marketing systems like Pardot and Salesforce to identify, engage, generate, distribute and report on leads
    • Creating and qualifying leads through lead-generation initiatives including SEM, SEO, retargeting, content syndication, nurture programs, paid social media, email campaigns, and events
    • Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of account engagement through nurture campaigns
  • Use insights and findings from demand gen results to propose changes in direction
    • Track activity on the number of leads, cost per qualified lead, and the % of leads turned into opportunities
    • Manage KPIs by analyzing program impact on revenue pipeline with needed root cause analysis and corrective action planning
    • Share analytical results and recommendations with Sales, Business Ops, and leadership regularly
  • Work hand-in-hand with PR, Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Events Management, and Digital team to ensure campaigns are coordinated and tracked from beginning to end
  • Collaborate with team members across the organization so that strategy, messaging, branding and execution are consistent and coordinated for all campaigns
  • Gain a deep understanding of our corporate value prop, product offerings, and messaging to amplify the brand and product positioning everywhere
  • Monitor and maintain data quality within Salesforce and Pardot
  • Continually collect data and research:
    • Digital Marketing trends
    • Evolving Sales tactics
    • Competitor & Marketplace intel
    • Client success feedback (surveys)

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Eagerness to get trained up, experiment with, and master our Marketing Automation Tool (Pardot)
  • Strong analytical skills and passion for reporting and data analytics
    • Microsoft Excel will be used heavily
  • Salesforce expert-level experience with the ability to:
    • Identify target segments and generate lists
    • Track & measure Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) through the funnel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting to leadership
  • Problem-solving drive
  • Great relationship skills for working closely with our internal teams, as well as, clients
