Cloud Computing and Data Center company enters into its twentieth year in the Information Technology Industry

LightEdge was founded in 1996 as an Internet Service Provider and has been a pioneer in the managed IT services arena in the Midwest since 2003. LightEdge’s original local Iowa investors included John Pappajohn, Principal Financial Group and Farm Bureau Financial. In 2008, The Anschutz Corporation purchased LightEdge giving the company the financial strength to continue expansion throughout the Midwest.
LightEdge launched its cloud product set in the early 2000’s and over the last two decades the company has successfully leveraged their network heritage to evolve into an industry leader in cloud services. LightEdge today has one of the broadest product portfolios in the enterprise cloud industry supported by a world class consulting organization located throughout the LightEdge markets.
The company has also been executing a supporting strategic vision to build and operate their own geographically redundant colocation data centers that provide a secure location for their fully replicated, regional cloud environments. LightEdge was the first to build a tier 3 type “green field” colocation data center in the Iowa market.
