LightEdge Completes Acquisition of Connectria

LightEdge, a leading provider of secure cloud and colocation for nearly three decades, has completed its acquisition of Connectria, one of the world’s largest cloud hosting and managed services providers for IBM Power Systems and an AWS Premier Tier partner. The combined company now owns and operates 18 data centers across 12 U.S. markets, managing critical business data for more than 1,700 customers.

With highly complementary solutions and geographies across Connectria and LightEdge, this acquisition serves to further strengthen and expand the combined company’s service offerings. By leveraging Connectria’s IBM and public cloud maturity with the colocation, connectivity and enterprise cloud capabilities of LightEdge, the combined company offers a secure and compliant hosting platform for all workloads.

The combined company is now one of the only secure and compliant infrastructure providers in the country offering both hybrid colocation and tailored multi-cloud solutions.

“I’m so impressed by both teams’ steadfast commitment to client success while we finalized this acquisition over the past month,” said LightEdge CEO Jim Masterson. “It reinforces that this alignment was the right one. Both LightEdge and Connectria have evolved over a 30-year span, through the dot-com bubble, the rise of the cloud, a global pandemic that fast-tracked digital transformation, and so many other sweeping changes. Both have stayed true to what’s always driven success: a steadfast focus on client outcomes, team culture, and employee engagement. That’s what we plan to continue doing.”

“While we’re operating business as usual for our employees and customers right now, this acquisition provides excellent opportunities for growth for the combined company, our teams and our clients,” he added.
