Primary Duties:

Working with the Telecom Carriers and internal operational staff, this position will be responsible for provisioning/ordering both internal and external circuits utilizing the Lightedge infrastructure. Provide support to the accounting team in recognizing and resolving billing issues related to telecommunications accounts. Responsible for the support of the Service Order Fulfillment and Operations group for overall circuit accountability to include circuit tracking, circuit ordering, administrative needs and provisioning via the Lightedge OSS system.

Experience and Skills desired:

  • Strong background in CLEC and retail/wholesale telecommunications environment via ASR/LSR
  • Strong background and understanding of number porting

Position Summary
The Sales Engineer will focus on opportunities and partnerships related to the upsourced IT industry, often called utility computing. As part of Lightedge Solutions team, you will design and conduct informative presentations to educate potential customers on the features and business benefits of Lightedge Solutions products. You will also be a lead technical resource to the sales staff. You will be creating and updating documentation related to client, server, and application engagement utilizing Lightedge Solutions environments. You will provide consultation to customers on integrating industry leading technologies into their infrastructure. This position is accountable for developing knowledge of Lightedge Solutions products, procedures, and technologies. A successful candidate will be one that is energetic, enthusiastic in dealing with customers and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Director of Systems Engineering and Operations and work closely with the sales team.

Responsibilities

Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Technician
1st Shift
Des Moines

The Customer Service Department specializes in managing the relationship and providing support for existing clients. The Technical Assistance Center Technician position may require flexing of hours to meet specific volume needs. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving tier-1 network problems associated with outages or performance. These requests may be handled directly by the Technical Assistance Center Technician or, through escalation in accordance with company policy. The Technical Assistance Center Technician will also handle direct communication with the client and telco trouble ticket status during service outages.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of local area networking including TCP/IP and its corresponding utilities
  • Solid understanding of OS and applications under WIN 95/98/NT/2000, Unix or Mac OS
  • Experience with the internet and information services such as email, browsers, ftp, etc., including but not limited to: Outlook, Eudora, IE, Netscape Communicator, FTP clients

Responsibilities
