Director of Sales
Reports to:  Vice President, Sales

The Director of Sales (DOS) will develop and manage a team of Senior Account Executives, who are responsible for overall account management, new sales of hosted voice, data and IT products/services, and renewals within an assigned module of LightEdge customers and prospects.   

  • Lead a team of 8-10 Senior Account Executives to meet or exceed revenue and new customer acquisition targets.
  • Inspire and motivate team for success.
  • Appropriately manage the engagement of internal product specialists, sales engineering resources, and strategic partners to close deals.
  • Establish proper expectations for team with respect to territory management, account management, activity levels, opportunity, funnel management, and CRM compliance; hold team accountable to these expectations.
  • Maintain positive alignment between team and other functional areas within LightEdge.
  • Develop forecasts and manage funnel to exceed team quota and financial objectives.
  • Actively engage with the sales team through daily coaching, meetings, and field time.
  • Work with team on individual professional development plans.
  • Actively participate in the sales process and demonstrate high level of skill in consultative selling, business case preparation and time management planning.

  • 7+ years of business sales management experience.
  • Proven, fundamental sales management style and approach.
  • 5+ years experience in a solution based selling role.

Voice Sales Specialist
Reports to:  Vice President, Sales

The Voice Sales Specialist is responsible for direct sales of Hosted PBX, IP telephony, and Converged Access services to LightEdge customers and prospects.

  • Achieve assigned revenue quota for voice sales to LightEdge customers and prospects.
  • Develop and execute voice product sales strategy and plan.
  • Serve as “subject matter expert” for LightEdge voice products, IP PBX and IP telephony industry, competition, and products.
  • Develop individual opportunity strategies and sales plans.
  • Build and manage a strong funnel of voice sales prospects and opportunities.
  • Prospect, qualify and make sales presentations to potential customers.
  • Lead the voice sales process, leveraging necessary internal resources, and partners, for voice sales within assigned opportunities.
  • Update all sales activities through Microsoft CRM.
  • Prepare, complete and process all sales paperwork and documentation.
  • Competitive, professional, enthusiastic, independent, confident, persistent, flexible

  • Manage an assigned base of LightEdge business customers and targeted prospects.
  • Develop and execute a territory strategy and plan.
  • Develop account profiles and individual opportunity strategies and sales plans.
  • Cross sell and up sell hosted voice, data and IT services to business prospects and customers; utilizing LightEdge sales process and methodology.
  • Prospect, qualify and make sales presentations to potential customers.

Inside Sales Representative
Des Moines, Minneapolis, Omaha
We are looking for Inside Sales Representatives for our Des Moines, Minneapolis, and Omaha markets. The Inside Sales Rep is responsible for generating leads for Account Executives and Senior Account Executives through phone calls, direct mail/email campaigns or other effective methods. Generation of additional revenue in existing accounts through phone calls, direct mail/email campaigns or other effective methods.
Primary responsibilities of the Inside Sales Rep include, but are not limited to:

  • Outbound calling to existing LightEdge customers as well as new prospects.
  • Learn and utilize best practices for calls into prospective and existing customers.
  • Generate qualified leads for AE’s and SAE’s with prospective customers.
  • Up sell and cross sell new products and services to existing LightEdge customers.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales staff to fully understand all marketing campaigns and efforts.
  • Understands and evangelizes the value proposition of  Hosted IT services and “A Better Way”.
  • Creates and maintains Prospects, Contacts, Tasks and Opportunities in CRM.
  • Accurately forecasts to appropriate MD and in CRM.
  • Successfully “hand-off” highly qualified leads to AE’s and SAE’s.
  • Accurately complete contracts and all necessary paperwork for sales made directly with customers.
  • Work with all LightEdge Solutions personnel through the sales process.  This includes (but is not limited to) Installation Group(s), Accounting, and Support.

Skills and Requirements of the Inside Sales Rep include, but are not limited to:

  • Two to Three years experience in telesales with a proven track record of exceeding quota.
  • Self-motivated with high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, PDF and Excel.
  • Exceptional communications skills are required.

Account Executive
Minneapolis, Phoenix

We are seeking exceptional Account Executive candidates to identify and develop small to medium business selling opportunities. The Account Executive will be responsible for new customer acquisition by presenting LightEdge’s VoIP, Network and IT Services to potential small to medium businesses through a consultative sales approach. Comprehensive sales, territory management and technical training programs are provided.

Primary responsibilities of the Account Executive include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing an assigned territory to bring on new business and meeting assigned revenue and new customer goals.
  • Aggressive hunter mentality with no fear of cold calling via the telephone or in person.
  • Identify, penetrate and acquire new business for LightEdge Solutions.
  • Prospects are identified primarily through cold calling and prospecting efforts of the Account Executive.
  • Meet with small to medium business owners or decision makers to conduct discovery, sales presentations, recommend LightEdge Solutions’ products and services and close business.
  • High level of skill in consultative selling, business case preparation and time management planning.
  • Able to work in a structured environment.
  • Responsible for updating all sales activities through Microsoft CRM.
