LightEdge has been listed on the UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) Magic Quadrant put out by Gartner. This year, we have been listed in the Visionaries quadrant of the UCaaS matrix. To avoid confusion, Gartner puts out separate report for on-premise Unified Communications systems and cloud-based or hosted Unified Communications offered on a subscription model (UCaaS).
LightEdge’s UCaaS offering (LightEdge Connected Office) is a suite of several products that can be utilized alone or integrated for improved communication productivity. Services include: hosted PBX voice services, hosted e-mail (Microsoft Exchange), hosted instant messaging and presence (Microsoft Office Communicator), hosted desktop faxing, and voice/web conferencing.
According to Gartner[1]: The early adopters of UCaaS have been SMBs (small and medium-sized businesses). Such organizations are more open to working with the applications specialists that have been at the vanguard in offering a full UCaaS product suite.
