LightEdge Appoints Matt Biegacki as Chief Marketing Officer

LightEdge, a leading provider of secure cloud and colocation for nearly three decades, announces the newest member of its executive team. Former CMO of Connectria and Tenna, Matt Biegacki is bringing his 15 years of experience leading marketing and commercial teams within the tech industry to the fast-growing LightEdge brand.

As Chief Marketing Officer for LightEdge, Matt is responsible for the organization’s new customer acquisition, demand generation, and brand development. Based in St Louis, Missouri, Matt has a proven track record of driving growth for highly compliant and security-focused companies.

“LightEdge is a nearly 30-year-old company that has hit an inflection point recently, and 2024 will be a critical year for accelerating that growth,” said CEO Jim Masterson. “Most importantly, it will be an important time for guiding our clients through nuanced and often overwhelming shifts in the market. In addition to ensuring the consistency and strength of the LightEdge brand, Matt will guide our internal and external communications, continuing our legacy of leadership and transparency with employees, customers, partners, and prospects.”

Today’s news marks the latest example of LightEdge’s work to bolster its leadership team. In October, Rob Carter joined LightEdge as its first-ever Chief Growth Officer.

Biegacki said he has long held great respect for LightEdge. “When it comes to incredibly secure cloud, colocation and managed services, LightEdge is top of the list, and I’m thrilled to join their ranks,” said Biegacki. “LightEdge’s positioning as a market leader in a quickly changing multi-cloud industry/environment and the company’s ability to evolve with those multi-cloud needs is outstanding and where I see tremendous opportunity to grow the business.”

Founded in 1996, LightEdge has evolved into one of the leading hybrid, multi and private cloud managed services providers in the country. The company owns and operates 12 data centers across the U.S., delivering cloud, colocation, connectivity, and managed services with a customer churn rate of less than 1%. Over the past three years, LightEdge has completed three acquisitions, added five data centers, expanded its network capacity tenfold, and upgraded its cloud portfolio.
