LightEdge Grows Channel Program 100% Year over Year
Teamwork makes the dream work! LightEdge attributes much of our success to the impressive channel community. In 2023, the LightEdge Channel team not only strengthened existing partnerships but also formed new ones.
Earlier this year, we joined forces with AVANT Communications to provide compliant solutions to underserved markets. This collaboration is part of our commitment to better serve current and future clients. Cloud Innovation Center Launch
Rob Carter, our new Chief Growth Officer, is leading the effort to speed up clients’ cloud journeys with LightEdge. Together with Principal Technologists, Stephen Martin, and Mike McHenry, as well as our expert Solutions Architect team, we are more equipped than ever to support the most complex IT environments, including hybrid models.

Austin Data Center Expansion
In pursuit of our growth goals, our infrastructure must evolve accordingly. LightEdge has recently expanded our Austin Data Center, adding 10,000 square feet and boosting our capability by 800 MW across two state-of-the-art facilities.

LightEdge Ignite
LightEdge hosted an impactful networking event in Austin, focusing on IT modernization and cloud transformation. Attendees connected with industry professionals, participated in a dynamic panel discussion featuring leaders from Veeam, Zerto, and Dell, and gained insights into enterprise public cloud adoption.

Product Enhancements for Easier Client Experience
This year LightEdge has made massive efforts to improve the cloud experience for clients by making our cloud easier to use with key enhancements to our product suite. We have added visibility and simplified the user experience so that clients can observe, monitor, and manage their multi-cloud environments without the need for extensive training.
As we continue to build out our suite of cloud products, LightEdge remains dedicated to providing MSP-level service and will support client’s technology needs proactively and reactively.
Veeam Backup & O365 Backup
LightEdge has partnered with Veeam to provide a reliable and compliant backup solution for Microsoft Office data. This is a natural complement to our existing Backup service and addresses the often-overlooked area of data protection that Microsoft does not inherently provide.
With O365 backup, clients now have a fully managed data protection strategy against ransomware, accidental deletion, and other bad actors that target their sensitive Office data. Additionally, LightEdge has gained the ability to extend our backups to client’s on-premise workloads.
LightEdge Network
In 2023, LightEdge underwent major network upgrades to enhance both performance and security. Our backbone now operates at a speed of 100-gigabits per second.
Alongside this enhanced capacity, we’ve integrated Micro-Segmentation as a standard feature across our Cloud platforms. This empowers users to control traffic between systems at a policy level, offering superior protection against compromises by restricting lateral movement within the cloud to authorized traffic flows exclusively.
The NSX integration facilitates the deployment of Virtual Firewalls, which can be conveniently managed directly from the LightEdge Cloud user interact and APIs. Learn more here.
The LightEdge Way
Volunteering Program
LightEdge is passionate about making a positive impact in our local communities and in 2023 we introduced our volunteering program – “Be the Light”. Team members across various locations participated in a range of volunteering programs to support causes such as food insecurity, child welfare, and environmental issues.
As the year ended, we concluded on a heartwarming note by partnering with Soldier’s Angels and adopting three military families in need, with the hope of making their holiday season extra special.
Recycling Event
For the second consecutive year, LightEdge teamed up with Synetic Technologies to recycle IT equipment responsibly and safely. Together, we successful diverted over 37,000 lbs. of e-waste, reduced 52,038 lbs. of GHG emissions, saved 1,486,507 lbs. of KWH electricity, and prevented 1,073 lbs. of toxic metals from harming the environment. We’re thrilled to see a significant increase in client participation – thank you – it wouldn’t have been possible without you!
LightEdge’s commitment to minimizing our environmental footprint is unwavering. We are continually innovating sustainable practices in our data centers because a greener planet is a shared responsibility.
DEI Committee
In 2023, LightEdge took a significant step forward by reinforcing our DEI Committee, which has now grown to include 16 total members. Our mission remains steadfast: to foster a workplace where every individual matters, diverse perspectives are embraced, and our culture authentically mirrors the rich tapestry of our clients and communities. We are excited about the DEI Committee expanding their impact in 2024!
